Creating an Audio Posting
Sometimes your homework will include an opportunity to make a recording of yourself, either talking about a specific theme, or speaking a poem. Here are two ways to do it.
A. Record through POWOWNOW.COM:
1. Dial one of the following numbers (powwownow.com)
- from Ireland: 0818 270 007
- from the UK: 0844 4 73 73 73
- from Sweden: 0939 2066 400
- from the US: 1 415 363 0833
- from Canada: 1 213 289 3444
- Access number from other countries are available here: USA_en_pwn-dial-in-numbers
2. Put in PIN: 038908
3. You will get a snazzy music track. When you are ready to record PRESS #8. You will be asked to confirm that you want to record. Press 1.
4. When you’re finished just hang up.
5. PLEASE EMAIL YOUR CLASS VOLUNTEER AND LET HER/HIM KNOW YOU’VE MADE A RECORDING. THEY WILL POST IT FOR YOU.
B. Using an MP3 Recording device (iphone, etc.) make the recordings. Then upload them to soundcloud.com. Open an account and follow the directions to upload the file. Then follow the directions to get a link to embed. Copy the link and then make a post on your homework page with the link in it.
